Harsh noise and sound collage from Long Island, New York. The Viodre was formed in 2001 with John Vibg at its helm. An unpredictable and dynamic group, The Viodre was known for its ultra-violent live performances(consisting of up to nine collaborators at a time) and layered cut-up recordings, ranging from musique-concrete to harsh cut-up noise. Quiet for most of 2004-2005, The Viodre has re-emerged with "Interpol Alchemi," the group's first CD, to be released on Truculent Recordings. A CD-R on Harshnoise is forthcoming for 2006.
